I can only navigate the main menu by memory, the ingame popups regarding the DLC is missing the text as well. The problem is that all of the text has disappeared or is invisible. The game starts, I can load a save and 'play'. Right now I can launch the 4GB exe through Mod Organizer. I'm trying to get Mod Organizer and the 4GB exe to work together, but despite following all of the advice, tips and workarounds it's still not happening. I'm running Windows 8.1 and a fresh install of Fallout New Vegas with no mods so far. I've stumbled upon a weird issue that I haven't encountered or read about before. After backing up your Bashed Patch, go ahead and re-generate it and make sure you follow the instructions carefully.Ĭheck those two things and if the crashing still continues we can move on from there. However, before you do this you should make sure you back up and put somewhere safe your current Bashed Patch as you may need to revert if something goes wrong. The second thing I would try is to first re-generate my Bashed Patch. Then try your game and make a clean save and try to see if that fixes your issue. Make sure you aren't adding a lot of tweaks to your. They personally destroy my performance and could cause game instability. Go ahead and add in back the tweaks in the guide but leave out the light distance tweak and the grass fade distance tweak. ini files from my Mod Organizer>Profiles folder and then regenerate them. The first thing I would try personally is first backing up all my saves. Though like I said I doubt it's load order causing the issue. However, this isn't something I would really expect new players to know how to do optimally.
This is why a manual load order is always the best or at the very least a tweaked LOOT load order. The problem with LOOT is that it it doesn't really account for the most optimal load order and really only fixes the largest issues. It's hard to know with a game like this what could be causing this.
I tried looking on google, but I couldn't find anything related to this.Well, your load order isn't the best but it shouldn't be causing a repeated crash on fast travel. I know there's a bug that keeps tranquility lane from loading on AMD graphics cards, as I had to find a fix for that, so is this something like that? I have some mods installed, but I have deactivated all of them at once, but the same thing happens. I assume its not loading the map, but when I create a new save and start in in the Mojave Wasteland, the game acts like normal!
Whenever I take the train to New Vegas, the game loads for less than a second after saying "Three Years Latter" and then it tells me its picked-up some radio stations, but it just stays on a black screen.
