If it hasn't, you shouldn't presume anything beyond you are having a problem on your own computer. If something is the result of an actual bug, in a primary function of a piece of software used by hundreds of thousands through many millions of people, the proverbial excrement will hit the fan in the press, the mainstream press, generally within a single day. They're generally addressed by trying to determine what that something is, or doing a blanket repair that knocks out a whole lotta somethings in one fell swoop. Most computer issues are idiosyncratic, that is, directly related to something about the very machine they're occurring on. No matter what is going wrong on their personal machine, if it were an actual software bug it would be affecting the vast majority of users that are running the same features of a given program (including an operating system).
I have tried, on multiple occasions, to get people to understand this basic premise. The following bears repeating, and repeating, and repeating across contexts of "computer trouble:" as there is no one root cause and the problem is not a bug with the software itself (if there were, there would 100000s of simultaneous trouble reports).
